How reviews are researched
Source order
Depending on the topic, stronger sources can include government or regulatory material, primary literature, standards bodies, official manufacturer specifications, major institutional research and high-quality secondary context. Merchant pages are useful for price and availability snapshots but do not prove efficacy or certification.
Hands-on testing
The site must not imply first-hand testing unless it genuinely occurred and can be documented. A desk-research review should be described as desk research.
How recommendations are formed
Recommendations should follow from the product facts, evidence, limitations, fit and decision criteria. Commission size should not determine the conclusion.
Health content
Health-related reviews require higher scrutiny. Ingredient-level research does not automatically prove that a finished product will produce the same outcome, and the site should not diagnose, prescribe or guarantee results.
Freshness
Formula, price, availability, merchant terms and other fast-changing fields should be rechecked close to publication and maintained according to their freshness class.
